Default R/Mo Sanctum Cay Solo/Run (Video)

I hardly ever see rangers attempting this run in sanctum so I decided to whip up a video of myself solo running it. The music isn't the best, its sample music that came installed on my new PC. I haven't been able to get my other mp3's yet. Anyways, the attributes are flexible so use what your comfortable with. Weapon is a Tanzits Cleaver (+30 health) and Crimson Carapace Shield (+45 health -2 damage).

Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWcCp6B8RMo

Are you serious? I can run the entire Sanctum Cay with 4 skills, dependant on 1 thing. This thing been that the Mesmer boss does NOT attack you at the end.

What you need?
Escape
Dodge
Zojuns Haste
Mending

Maybe something heavy to complete the end bit while you do something else. To run the end simply hold A (or D) and W down and run around in circles for a few minutes... The AI is that dumb the warriors don't bother attacking you and just run back and forth. The archers fire but rarely hit. The Searing Heats hit you but seem to be timed perfectly to never catch you in the ending burning.

I never said the run was difficult, the extra skills can be there for the mesmer boss which is not hard to counter. Also, there are some interesting strategies that I tried out like Heal Area spam with the Storm Chaser up.

If a warrior aggro breaks he might go to the Visor which spells disaster. This build is much safer and practical than just running in circles in my opinion.

Not really... they don't break agro. You just stand near the cliff so they can't even see him and let them run back and forth while you run in circles. Had to lie down afterwards, made me dizzy :S

I guess the choice is yours, both get the job done at almost the same speed. I'll stick with my method because I don't like to mess with things that already work. I also imagine it provides more user entertainment, rangers don't get very many chances to take damage like that.

How do you protect Visier? I think it's required to complete the mission.

Previously, you didnt even need to run around in circles at all, just troll, escape, whirling, dryders, with fire resistant armor, and only trigger one side or the other and it was no big deal.

They changed it where not only do both the groups trigger, but they send everybody, roughly 24 white mantle by the end.
